Friday
Read Psalm 118:21-24
21 I
praise you, Lord,
because
you heard me, because you have given me victory.
22 The stone which the builders
rejected as worthless
turned
out to be the most important of all.
23 This was done by the Lord;
what
a wonderful sight it is!
24 This
is the day of the Lord’s victory;
let
us be happy, let us celebrate!
Think
In Jesus' final week he tells a story about tenants not
responding to the messengers, or the son of the vineyard owner who come to
collect the rent. He refers to himself
as 'the stone the builders rejected.'
On Good Friday we witness the rejection of Jesus. But in hope - we anticipate his resurrection
- God will take him and make him the cornerstone of his temple.
Pray
On this Good Friday I see you crucified. I want to blame the world for what they've
done to you. But I have not made you the
cornerstone of my life.
