Read James 5:7-10
7 Be patient, then, my brothers and
sisters, until the Lord comes. See how patient a farmer is as he waits for his
land to produce precious crops. He waits patiently for the autumn and spring
rains. 8You also must be patient. Keep your hopes high, for the day
of the Lord’s coming is near.
9 Do not complain against one
another, my brothers and sisters, so that God will not judge you. The Judge is
near, ready to appear. 10My brothers and sisters, remember the
prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. Take them as examples of patient
endurance under suffering.
Think
Be patient... until the Lord comes...
Sometimes God takes a long time to answer our prayers. The Kingdom of God ebbs in like a slow tide -
but when we look back over years of progress we see just how far we have come.
Pray
I wait for you as a farmer waits for the spring rains. I don't know when they will come - but they
always come... let your rain fall on my heart and produce a crop of joy and
righteousness.
